Aubrey is a farmer, educator, horticulturist and landscape professional dedicated to transforming urban spaces into thriving, ecologically rich environments. With a background in social work and education, her approach to landscaping goes beyond aesthetics—centering on connection, resilience, and the relationship between people and place.
Aubrey began her agriculture career on large-scale organic farms before moving to New York City, where she focused on building urban farms and green infrastructure. Since then, she has worked across landscapes—gardens, rooftops, and community spaces—helping clients cultivate environments that are both functional and deeply rooted in ecological principles.
With over seven years of hands-on farming and leadership experience, Aubrey brings a practical, systems-based approach to her work. She specializes in native planting, low-maintenance design, soil health, and edible landscapes, with an emphasis on creating spaces that support pollinators and long-term sustainability.
As an educator, Aubrey has taught students of all ages, translating complex ecological concepts into accessible, hands-on experiences. This foundation shapes her landscaping philosophy: every space is an opportunity to learn from the land and to steward it with care.
Her work is grounded in the belief that landscapes should not only be beautiful, but also meaningful—supporting biodiversity, strengthening communities, and reconnecting people to the natural systems that sustain them.
Outside of her work, Aubrey can be found foraging, seed saving, cooking, and exploring wild spaces—continuing to deepen her relationship with the land in all aspects of her life.
